Peggie.

I would like you to meet the little monster who has come to stay. Her name is Peggie.. Toothy Peggie! She is not a happy little thing and howls like a banshee if I move out of her line of sight. We have become very close. She has been literally attached to me for days now.

(if you look very closely you can just see the tiny razor sharp fang cutting through)

Now I feel better..

I have been feeling rubish for the last week or so. Last night I went to bed early by accident and I woke this morning feeling normal. We still have the snot monster with us and Annie has even learned a real growl.

Min Beautiful Min.

Our Beautiful Min is back in London on business for a few weeks and we are so happy to have her back. We went out to breakfast yesterday at Ottolingi, one of our old haunts and then we had a browse among the treasures along Camden Passage antique market.

Mumma fail..

From the Mumma who didn't want bottles and dummies near her babies I now have 2 bottle drinkers. Husband used to call me the Lactovist because I was adamant I didn't want bottles in the mouth of my babies 'Nothing but breast milk' I used to say. We went away when Alf was 10 months old and left him with my sisters and a freezer full of breast milk, some brand new bottles and dummy. When I was pregnant and feeling tired I would give him a bottle of cows milk and warm water. Now he has one at night and sometimes in the day. Annie Rose is fascinated by the bottle and keeps trying to mug her brother so after much baby wrestling and screams of protest I relented and gave her a bottle of warm water.

The Little Snot Monster.

A Little Snot Monster has come to visit and she is spreading her germy, slimy snots around. Daddy worked from home today to take care of his snotty, sneezy girls. We love you Daddy-o.

The landing needs work

Alf keeps retelling the story of how he 'flew' and landed on his nose. 'I was like a bird Mumma' he told me this morning when he caught sight of his little grazed nose in the mirror.
(I meant to post this on Thursday...)

The Lovely Baby James.

Today we had the pleasure of looking after our little friend Baby James while his Mumma went for a few tests at the hospital. It was the first time he had been left with anyone other than his Daddy. He was so good and brave. Katie and Fenn came this morning to help us down the hill and off we went. After an small trip and grazed nose for poor Alpha, 'I tripped like Pigglet..., I flew like a bird', we loaded the boys onto the buggy board and finally arrived at singing with Harriette where we met Sara and Matthew. James played and gooed along with everyone. After a little grizzle and a few sips of his milk he gave Sara a lovely cuddle and then slept soundly in the buggy until it was time to push him up the hill back to him Mumma. We took the boys to the park for a play and a picnic while James slept and Annie practiced her crawling skills. Before we knew it Mumma called to say she was all done and on her way to pick up her boy. Thankfully all tests were clear and no nasties were found.
It was a pleasure to look after you on your first morning away from your Mumma and Daddy little James. Thank you Katie and Sara for your help today.

Cowboy Woody and Annie-O

Alf was dressed as Woody from Toy story today. I don't think he has actually watched more than 10 minutes at a time of the movie but he is obsessed with the two little figures Anthony brought him back from his last business trip away. This morning he found the yellow shirt in the huge washing pile (the clean one) and said 'oh my shirt is like Woody.' Amazingly we were able to complete the look so he went out today in his new Woody dress ups. Dressed head to toe in charity shop finds and a star from our friend Matthew's birthday party I have a feeling this is going to be his new favorite look.
Annie-O joined in a game of 'I be the cowboy.. Mumma you be the horse' with her own tiny cowgirl hat (also brought back by Daddy's on his last trip to the Texas).

Singing with Harriette

Today we went to the launch of a new playground. Harriette and |Ted were preforming. It was a lovely afternoon in the sunshine. It was lovely to see some of our beautiful friends again.

Cat boy.

This is the little cat suit I made for our little Cat Boy. Once they were a pair of yoga pants. I like them better like this.

Late summer days..
