The world works in mysterious ways. I have had a bit of a bad run lately with my digital gadgets. First my ipod died and then last week my camera and now my computer speakers are cracking up so it is off next week to be looked at and luckily it is still under warranty..just.
The world is making me take a look at myself and get my shit together but no camera means no photos of my babies and that makes me sad. I have watched them grow through my lens.

The Face
I caught up with my friend Chris. We went to high school together. He and I have been planning a catch up since he and his girlfriend arrived in the UK almost 2 years ago but today it finally happened at the British Museum. Alf stayed with Daddy and had a fun adventure to the art supplies shop and Annie came for a day out with Mumma. The plan had been to go and see the Egyptian book of the dead but I missed out on a ticket so Annie and I just hung out while we waited. It was lovely to spend some time with my baby girl. She is growing so fast there not much baby left.
'I have to change Annie, she has been pulling the poo face.'
'What's a poo face?'
This here is a Annie Poo Face.

This bed is not big enough for all of us..
There are 4 in our bed. There is not much room for anyone and our nights are getting a little restless. Our bed is not big enough for all of us. Who will be voted off the island?

5 seconds peace.
Both babies asleep in the day at the same time!
For about 5 seconds ...just enough time for half a cup of hot tea.

5 Fangs Annie.
Annie has sprouted tooth number 5 and 6 is following close behind. She no longer looks like a baby vampire. Now how do I teach the cheeky baby not to bite the boob that feeds her?
Birthday Cakes
Alfie was lucky enough to have 2 Birthday cakes this year.
One made by Mumma to share with our friends who came with us on our fire station adventure.
The other was to take to share with the Lolas. It was Daddy's first attempt at birthday caking. Not bad and all skill were learned by watching late night food network.
Alfie ate the owl. Mumma ate the Gruffalo and the Gruffalo tasted good!

Bath Time
Mumma: Alpha come and hop in the bath now please
Alpha: I am busy having a pretend bath at the moment
I go in to see what he is up to. The boy is sat on a pile of blue towels in the middle of the lounge room.
Alpha: I am clean now!

Hello world.
Hello world
we are still here
life has been a bit hard lately
a winter of discontent
I have been so totally overwhelmed by everything
a feisty, fast growing cheeky baby who will only travel like a monkey on my back
a determined and spirited, now 3 year old boy, who has discovered the joy of testing the boundaries
endless snow and rain and cold that has kept us all literally under the weather
we have spent weeks in our jarmies and we have worn groves in the bed, 2 big one and 2 small ones
the washing piled up and the wall have gone mouldy
Christmas came and went with only a trip to the hospital in an ambulance for Annie to distinguish it from our flu filled days
BUT
by New Years Eve we were all on the mend and 2011 began with us all in better spirits
Alfie turned 3 on Thursday
Annie has discovered the freedom of the ground and the ability to stand on her own feet
I just have to get organised and banish some of the chaos of 2010 from our lives
This will be a better year.
