Annie Rose cries and cries, she doesn't like to be put down. Sometimes you can get away with putting her in the buggy as long as it doesn't stay still too long.
Today while Alf was having one of his rare day sleeps I wanted to get at least the washing up done so I rigged up a swing in the hallway to rock my littlest one while I washed the dishes. To my surprise she liked it and as long as I gave her a little push in between dishes and didn't let the movement stop she was happy. She even fell asleep. Alf woke up to the sound of his wind up lullaby sheep singing to Annie and loved the idea of an inside swing. He wanted 'a go and a drink of water please Mummy'... so while I poured him a drink he gave Annie Rose a rather enthusiastic swing. Needless to say it could have ended quite badly but luckily you are never more than 2 steps away in our little flat. I have now rigged up a safety harness to prevent issues with enthusiastic brothers or wriggly babies or absent minded mummas and Annie Rose is currently sleeping happily in her new swing bed.

I think that bib was mine (or Rosie's) when we were babies
ReplyDeleteMum told me she made it for me but I am sure we all wore it at some point. It was in the tea towel draw all my life. She took it out of there to bring it before Alf was born. You can have it for your vom baby when you have one.
ReplyDeleteI'm not having a vom baby. I've ordered a fresh smelling baby with a mute button.
